Standard type grave
Standard graves are produced in large quantities at one time, making it possible to purchase graves of very popular designs at reasonable prices. There are two main types of designs: the mainland-style “Waryukata” and the traditional Okinawan-style “Okinawa-kata”.
WA-ryu type design
The Waryukata is a grave design that combines a mainland-style design with a traditional Okinawan design. Compared to the Okinawan type, the amount of stones used is smaller, making it relatively affordable.
The 630,000-yen Waryu 600-type grave is also of this design.
Okinawan-style design
The Okinawa-style graves feature the traditional Okinawan “duct tomb” design. Although slightly smaller than a traditional grave, it is very spacious with at least 10 urns plus a burial chamber.
