Okinawa has its own unique culture, and experienced a great trading period from the 14th to 16th century, when Ryukyu was energetically and dynamically trading with various countries from Ryukyu to present-day China and Southeast Asia.

Urasoe Castle Ruins, which is also in our company name, is deeply connected to this trade. Urasoe Castle Ruins was once home to Shuntian, the first king of Ryukyu, and the three dynasties of King Yeongjo and Sadoh, and is a very important place in the history of Ryukyu and Okinawa.

Urasoe Yodorei, located in the Urasoe Sangen site, is famous as the tomb of the king of Ryukyu and is thought to have been built around the 13th century, and some stones imported from China were used in its construction. Speaking of trade in those days, unlike today’s voyages by ship, it is thought that trade was always fraught with danger. It is truly overwhelming to see the energetic way they traded with other countries without considering such risks.

Our mission is to learn from the vitality and wisdom of our predecessors and carry on their spirit. We hope to contribute to Okinawa, Japan, and the world in any way we can, and we will continue to do so.
